The Battle of iPad Versus Kindle


As the technology enhanced, everything has been improved too, including the improvements of the computers. Speaking of the computer improvements, it seems that the battle of iPad versus Kindle is kind of interesting. Generally, computers which can serve so many functions have been incorporated into smaller hand held devices. Concerning the fact that smaller devices have been produced lately, there are two leading devices that are top of range of smaller computers. They are iPad and Kindle. The both of the devices offer their own strengths. However, we happen to wonder which device is better. Nonetheless, it comes to iPad versus Kindle.
Even though iPad versus Kindle have a similar tablet style form, they actually have different purposes. Therefore, those devices are quipped with different sets of features and capabilities. iPad is designed to support text documents, it is more like a multipurpose device which allows the users to listen to music, watch the movies, play the games, surf the web, check e-mail, and run many more applications. In the meantime, Kindle is strictly an e-book reader which is designed to emulate the printed page in as many reading conditions as possible. Now, let’s talk about iPad versus Kindle specifications.
First and foremost, we will talk about iPad versus Kindle screen. The display resolution of iPad is 1024 x 768 pixels while the display resolution of Kindle is 1200 x 824 pixels. The screen of iPad is designed with LED pixels assigning colored lights to each pixel on the screen. In the meantime, the Kindle’s display uses a technology called E Ink. It is made of numerous simple bubbles filled with liquid containing electrical responsive light and dark fragments. iPad’s screen is backlit while Kindle’s is not. Additionally, the dimensions of iPad versus Kindle are really similar to each other.
Now, let’s talk about iPad versus Kindle navigation. iPad is a touch screen device in which the users turn pages by swiping a finger from right to left to go to the next page and vise versa. To zoom out the text, users can simply place two fingers close to each other on the screen and separate them. In the meantime, Kindle is equipped with a set of buttons. Therefore, users can simply use the buttons to operate this device to read e-book. In addition, iPad versus Kindle battery life is kind of different. Kindle’s battery can last much longer than the iPad’s because it doesn’t require many applications or processors.
